COVID 19 - Information

St Ives and Covid 19

Island View Holiday Home and COVID 19
We have done all we can to ensure your stay is safe and complies with the COVID 19 regulations.
The regulations require a longer cleaning time to ensure the property is fully cleaned and disinfected between visits. Our cleaners are taking extra care on handles, surfaces, cutlery and crockery. regulations require  additional cleaning (antibacterial / bleach) sprays and cloths - you will find these under the sink in the kitchen and in the bathroom should you feel the need to use them.
Plus they have recommended that soft furnishings like additional cushions, throws and blankets are kept to a minimum and sprayed between guests with anti bacterial spray. So we have removed many of these from the bedrooms and lounge. It is a shame because we have added many of these during our refurbishment earlier this year to make the house more 'homely' - so all but a few are removed for the time being.
Therefore arrival to 'Island view' is from 4pm and departure by 10am to allow for the extra cleaning and preparation time - this coincides with the towns COVID 19 new regulation that comes into force from July until September.

ST IVES - COVID 19

In order for St Ives to comply with social distance measures - they are proposing a pedestrian zone in the 'Downalong' area of St Ives between 10am to 4pm.
As 'Island View' is in this area it is advisable to arrive after 4pm - however if you do arrive earlier please park in Island Cart park or behind the Sloop pub and move it after 4pm to the allocated car park space we have at Porthgwidden Beach.

NOTE there is no restriction on leaving St Ives and the Downalong area at anytime - only restrictions on entering the town.

But once you are parked and settled why move ? -  we rarely ever move the car as there is so much to do in a week or even 2 around town with 4 fabulous beaches near by. The towns amazing Pubs and restaurants are re-open on 4th July - if you love to eat out its advisable to book ahead of your stay but our favourite nights are BBQing on the beach with a bottle of wine while watching the sun go down. total bliss x
